Bedford Bridge Bedfordshire antique print. The name of the town is thought to derive from the name of a Saxon chief called Beda, and a ford crossing the River Great Ouse. Original copper-plate engraved print from The Antiquities of England and Wales’ by Francis Grose, dated in the plate 1783. Paper size approximately 11 x 7.5 inches. Excellent condition. A rare Georgian antique item.
